Foundation Goals
The East High Raider Spirit Foundation has helped to:
- Multimedia flat screen TV for Commons area
- New sound systems in gym and auditorium
- New audio system in Media Center
- Office remodeling
- Plasma Cutter
- Support for Special Olympics
- Display cases for Commons and media Center
- Street light banners
- New Raider Mascot
- Building/Grounds improvements
- Donated to the moving of the concession stand for East Middle School field that over 250 East High athletes use
- Paid for buses for Speech students to attend Speech contest
- Helped fund the East High delegate to the Special Olympics
- Matched funds for the refurbishing of wrestling mats
- Matched funds for the East High Baseball team for new equipment
- Matched funds for part of the purchase of two new pianos for Choir
- Matched funds for a new sound system for the girls' softball field
- Furnished refreshments for the Journalism workshop that East hosted for the Missouri River Conference schools
- Vacuum for the East High stage crew
- Move and restore murals, statues and bas relief artwork from the original East High School building on Morningside Avenue to the new East Middle School and East High School
- Provide a printer, software and camera for the yearbook staff
- Paint the lockers throughout the school
- Provide student planners for all students
- New trash receptacles and planters to beautify the East High campus and parking area
- Provide money for entry fees and other costs for speech contests, Quiz Bowl, etc.
- Purchase microphones for the East High auditorium to assist the performing arts
